When I first built my QAV400, it was very light. But, as I kept adding more and more heavy components including as GoPro and a 3-axis gimbal, the original motors just didn’t cut it anymore.
The upgrade to more powerful motors has really smoothed out the flight, and and made it able to recover much faster from a fast descent.
